I Honestly feel like Valentines Day is useless, and unimportant, anyone else agree?

I will agree with this simply because the holiday was invented by hallmark as nothing more but a cash grab

The sole purpose of Valentines day is to boost the economy and make big corporations more money. BUT it is what it is and we might as well have fun with it because it's going to come every year. Not only that but there's mother's day and father's day so why not have a day out of the year to really appreciate your relationship and have there be an excuse to go out and do something fun like dinner or a movie instead of just sitting around the house watching TV which is what we would've done had it not been Valentines day. Christmas really isn't about the birth of Jesus either because that apparently happened sometime in July so Christmas is just a way for corporations to make oodles of money but we all have fun with it, right?
